The 250mm radial safety explosion-proof case forms the core of the safety protection system for large-sized industrial pressure gauges and instruments. Its primary function is to prevent fragments, media and flames from escaping and causing injury in the event of internal overpressure or rupture, whilst ensuring safety in explosion-proof environments.

I. Core Definitions and Specifications

250mm: Dial diameter of 250mm (10 inches), classified as a large industrial dial, facilitating easy reading from a distance and in both bright and low-light conditions.

Radial: The mounting interface (threaded or flanged) is located on the side of the case, perpendicular to the dial, making it suitable for front or top mounting on equipment and for front-facing reading.

Safety and Explosion Protection: Dual protection — Safety type (prevents injury from shattering) + Explosion-proof type (flameproof / intrinsically safe, prevents ignition of external hazardous gases).

1. Safety Protection (Prevents Injury from Shattering)

Safety partition / interlayer: A stainless steel safety partition is built into the case, isolating the bourdon tube / movement from the dial / glass; should the bourdon tube rupture, the partition prevents high-pressure media and fragments from being propelled towards the front, thereby protecting the operator.

Rear pressure relief structure: The case back is fitted with a pressure relief vent / an openable safety back cover; in the event of internal overpressure, it automatically opens to relieve pressure, preventing the entire case from bursting.

Double-layered / Safety Glass: The front features double-layered tempered glass or safety glass; should it break, it shatters into blunt fragments that do not fly off and cause injury.

Fully Sealed / Vibration-Resistant: An airtight structure protects the movement; liquid-filled (glycerine / silicone oil) models are resistant to severe vibrations and pressure pulsations.
